Intertraffic Amsterdam 2008 another inspiring global gathering
Intertraffic Amsterdam 2008 enjoyed a very successful 19th edition and reconfirmed its leading international position. Visitors were able to meet some 722 exhibitors from 38 countries presenting their latest products and services.
Intertraffic Amsterdam is always very well attended and this year was no exception. After four days, a grand total of 23,399 visitors had entered the RAI. There was a clear increase in the ratio of international visitors: While 56 percent of all visitors were from outside the Netherlands in 2006, the figure at Intertraffic 2008 has risen to 62 percent. “This is a welcome but not surprising development,” says Amsterdam RAI product manager, Mariska den Hartog. “We had already seen a significant shift among exhibitors. Of the 722 participants, 83 percent is from outside Holland, compared to 78 percent two years ago. This trend clearly indicates Intertraffic’s position as an international leader in its sector.”
Positive exhibitor feedback
- Arthur Dinitz, CEO of the American Transpo Industries, Inc. describes Intertraffic as “a well-organised exhibition attracting visitors from all over the world. As a company we are working hard on expanding our international sales, which means that exhibiting at Intertraffic is a must.”
- Petra Ruckgaber of the German AEG MIS GmbH is also full of praise. “Intertraffic has proven to be the best possible platform for us to present our products. This was the first time we had participated in the exhibition and it was both successful and interesting. We will definitely be returning in 2010.”
- Sofia Oliviera, representing the French company Cryzal SAS, was also enthusiastic. “Intertraffic is the place to meet potential distributors from around the world. We have made over 200 contacts.”
